Coldharbour Lane is a long climb out of Dorking. A steep start, there is a brief downhill section before picking up again. After a mile of steady climbing, the climb really kicks in with a sustained period of 10-15% gradient. There is then a false flat, with a brief downhill. But, the climbing is not over – there is still another 300m of climbing before you finally reach the peak.
