The Devil’s staircase is located in the heart of central Wales. It is remote and not so accessible. The great attraction of the climb is its steepness – especially the start, which begins with a wicked 25% hairpin. The climb remains above 20% for the first half a kilometre before gradually easing off towards the end.
The Devil’s Staircase is a popular name for steep hills and around the world, you will find ‘Devil’s Staircases’ in Australia and US.
